SHYAMCHAK PRATIBANDHI KALYAN SAMITY was established in 2006 in the rural area of Gourhati, Shyamchak,
in the
District of Pashchim Midnapore, West Bengal. It has become a renowned society in Gourhati, known for its
dedication to empowering marginalized communities.
Through our baseline survey, we identified a significant number of children in the district with various
disabilities. Many of these children face barriers such as poverty, exclusion from mainstream schools,
social discrimination, and neglect. Consequently, they are deprived of opportunities for proper education
and empowerment, which are essential to becoming self-reliant and contributing members of society.
